Because freemail accounts are free and easy to set up, they are the type most often used by scammers.

We know that 99% of the people who use freemail are honest, but unfortunately we are limited by the capabilities of our software. Our software can tell if an email domain, such as xyzabc.com, is risky because it has a unique fingerprint that can be connected to known fraudsters. Our software cannot tell if a specific address within an email domain, such as example@gmail.com, is risky because, if it’s a new account as most fraudulents accounts are, it has no fingerprint.
